Christmas Coffee & Clay at LAU Pottery Studio – Dorado

Step into the warmth of the holidays at our new studio in Dorado, where creativity, family, and the scent of freshly brewed coffee fill the air. Our Christmas Coffee & Clay workshops invite you to slow down, sip something cozy, and create handmade ceramic pieces — mugs, bowls, or plates — inspired by the beauty of the season.

Designed for families, friends, and guests, this experience is the perfect way to gather, unwind, and celebrate together. Each class includes a festive drink, holiday treats, and all materials you need to bring your creations to life.

This is a 2.5-hour guided class, which includes:

  • All clay, tools, and glazes

  • A painting and decorating session

  • Two firings of your piece for professional finishing

Each ceramic piece will go through our full studio process — drying, bisque firing, glazing, and a final firing — and will be ready for pickup within 3–4 weeks after your class. This ensures the highest quality and care for every handmade creation.

Our new Dorado facility blends a curated retail space, open studio, and workshop area, offering a quiet and inspiring environment designed to spark creativity and connection. Every experience is led by our trained LAU Pottery Studio staff, personally prepared under the guidance of founder Laura Serrano, ensuring a high-quality and welcoming experience for all guests.

Workshop Terms & Conditions

By attending our experiences, you acknowledge that LAU Pottery Studio is an active workspace and ceramic production facility. We ask that all guests respect the studio environment, our team, and the handmade pieces around the space.

  • Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Re-scheduling within that period carries a $25 fee and must be completed within 14 days of the original date. No refunds will be issued for missed sessions.

  • Studio Safety: The studio is a working factory environment. Guests are responsible for their personal safety and belongings during the event. LAU Pottery Studio is not liable for falls, injuries, or accidents that may occur on site.

  • Damage Policy: If any studio item, artwork, or merchandise is damaged during your visit, you agree to cover the cost of replacement.

  • Allergies & Health: Please inform our team of any allergies or sensitivities prior to the workshop.

  • Creative Responsibility: All ceramic pieces created during our workshops are handmade by each participant, and part of the beauty of this process is that no two pieces are ever identical. Natural variations may occur in shape, texture, and glaze. During firing, minor cracks, warping, or glaze reactions can occasionally happen — these are part of the authentic handmade process and not considered defects.

  • Finishing Process: Each piece undergoes multiple stages — drying, bisque firing, glazing, and a final firing — to ensure quality. The entire process takes approximately 3–4 weeks. You’ll be notified once your piece is ready for pickup.

  • Ticket Policy: Each ticket is valid for one participant only. We kindly ask that guests do not bring additional attendees or companions (+1s) unless they have also purchased a ticket, as space and materials are prepared per person.

  • Punctuality: Please arrive on time to fully enjoy your experience. Workshops begin promptly at the scheduled hour. Guests arriving more than 30 minutes late will unfortunately forfeit their space, as the class will already be in progress and materials prepared for that time slot. No refunds or rescheduling will be available for late arrivals.

  • Photography & Media: During workshops, we often capture photos and videos to highlight the creative process and the beauty of our community. By attending, you grant LAU Pottery Studio permission to use your image or likeness for marketing and promotional purposes, including social media, website, and printed materials. If you prefer not to appear in any photos, please let our staff know upon arrival.

  • Instructor Note: All workshops are led by LAU Pottery Studio’s trained staff, under the artistic direction of Laura Serrano, ensuring the same standard of quality, guidance, and care across every experience.

By accepting your invitation or attending the event, you release LAU Pottery Studio and its team from any liability or harm and agree to these terms.
