Family Sundays at LAU Pottery Studio – Dorado

This holiday season, make Sundays magical with your family at our new Dorado studio — a space designed to inspire creativity, connection, and play. Our Family Sundays are a joyful ceramics experience where parents and children (ages 8 and up) can create together, share laughter, and make something meaningful by hand.

In this cozy and festive workshop, families will hand-build and paint their own holiday mugs, bowls, or plates, guided step-by-step by our professional LAU Pottery Studio staff. Each class includes a warm holiday drink, snacks, and all materials needed for the experience.

This is a 2.5-hour family class, which includes:

  • All clay, tools, and glazes

  • A painting and decorating session

  • Two firings of each piece for a professional finish

  • A warm drink and snacks for the family

Each ceramic piece goes through our full studio process — drying, bisque firing, glazing, and a final firing — and will be ready for pickup within 3–4 weeks after your class. A true keepsake of your holiday togetherness.

Our new Dorado facility blends a curated retail space, open studio, and workshop area — a safe and inspiring environment where creativity thrives. Our trained staff, under the artistic direction of founder Laura Serrano, ensures every guest, big or small, feels guided, supported, and inspired.

Workshop Terms & Conditions

By attending our experiences, you acknowledge that LAU Pottery Studio is an active workspace and ceramic production facility. We ask that all guests respect the studio environment, our team, and the handmade pieces around the space.

  • Age Requirement: Family Sundays are designed for children 8 years and older, accompanied by a parent or guardian. Each participant, adult or child, must have their own ticket.

  • Parental Responsibility: Parents or guardians are fully responsible for the safety and behavior of their children during the workshop. Our team is here to guide and assist creatively, but supervision remains under the adult’s care at all times.

  • Cancellations: Must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Re-scheduling within that period carries a $25 fee and must be completed within 14 days of the original date. No refunds for missed sessions.

  • Studio Safety: The studio is a working ceramic facility. Guests are responsible for their personal safety and belongings. LAU Pottery Studio is not liable for falls, injuries, or accidents that may occur on site.

  • Creative Responsibility: Each ceramic piece is handmade by participants. Natural variations, small cracks, or glaze effects may occur during the firing process — these are part of the authentic charm of handmade ceramics and are not considered defects.

  • Finishing Process: Each piece requires multiple stages — drying, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing — taking approximately 3–4 weeks to complete. You’ll be notified once your pieces are ready for pickup.

  • Ticket Policy: Each ticket is valid for one participant only (adult or child). We kindly ask that no additional companions attend without a ticket, as space and materials are prepared per person.

  • Punctuality: Please arrive on time. Classes begin promptly, and guests arriving more than 30 minutes late will forfeit their space since the class will already be in progress.

  • Photography & Media: During workshops, we may capture photos and videos to celebrate the experience. By attending, you grant LAU Pottery Studio permission to use your image for promotional purposes. Please let our staff know if you prefer not to be photographed.

  • Instructor Note: All experiences are led by LAU Pottery Studio’s trained staff, under the artistic direction of Laura Serrano, ensuring the same quality, care, and attention throughout.

By participating, you release LAU Pottery Studio and its team from any liability or harm and agree to these terms.
